AMR G. EL-SHAFEI, M.D., F.A.C.C. is an interventional cardiologist who has special interest and training in peripheral vascular procedures and nuclear cardiology.

  Dr. El-Shafei is board certified in Cardiology, Endovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He did his cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a member of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.

   Dr. El-Shafei graduated from medical school in Cairo, Egypt in 1991. He was previously an Assistant Professor at St. Louis University and a staff cardiologist at the VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri prior to entering private practice in 2006. He joined Northwest Arkansas Heart and Vascular Center in July 2008.
